MainStreet is an intensely programmed mixed use campus corridor that serves the needs of students, faculty and staff at the University of Cincinnati. The design establishes a series of pedestrian connections and open spaces though the center of campus connecting new facilities including the University Pavilion, the Tangeman University Center, the Student Life Center, and the Recreation Center designed by Leers Weinzapfel, Moore Ruble Yudell, Gwathmey Siegel and Morphosis respectively. Main Street traverses a series of campus open spaces and districts but maintains its identity by the intensity of programs and activities, the broad circulation network, and a distinct material palette.
