The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation is a cultural facility that exhibits and displays innovations and paradigms in science and technology and is located in the “International University Cultural Exchange Complex” on Tokyo Bay. An urban plaza is the frontal piece to the museum where sculptural landforms set partially in water express the colliding and fusing of molecules while recalling the formal expressions of traditional Japanese Zen gardens. The exhibition area is framed by undulating landforms expressive of the light, sound and electronic waves studied in technological and scientific research.
