VILLA ZAPU

NAPA, CALIFORNIA

Surrounded by bosques of native oaks and vineyards, this 120-acre estate is situated on a ridge overlooking the Napa Valley wine country. Wide bands of two native, drought-tolerant grasses allude to the pattern of vineyards winding up and down the valley hillsides. The grass bands spiral out from the base of the guest tower and unfurl across the site, playing off of the “twisted Palladian” character of the architecture.
