When I-95 plowed through a predominately Black neighborhood it removed homes and businesses and severed the community. This deck-over park will create new amenities within a robust landscape framework – the landscape itself a destination and natural respite that will cover the highway canyon and ever-present river of traffic it contains, creating a place for people to gather, celebrate, relax and play.
